En esta entrada de blog vuelvo a la carga en una nueva temporada de flag facepainting que justo ahora empieza tras el cálido verano (aunque todavía hace calorcillo según qué días).

La primera bandera que he decidido hacer es la de Guinea-Bisáu ya que es muy sencilla de hacer (es como si fuera de nivel 1) pero en realidad su dificultad es algo mayor porque lleva una estrella.

Esa estrella no creáis que la he trazado yo... qué va. He utilizado una plantilla que compré con muchos diseños de estrellas que me irá de perlas para hacer banderas con estrellas, a partir de ahora.

El único GRAN problema de la plantilla es que me faltan manos para aplicarme por un lado la plantilla y, por el otro, aplicarme la pintura encima. Además, las plantillas son excelentes para usar con aerógrafo (del cual no dispongo) pero fatales para usar con pinceles. La mejor opción que he encontrado... pero no es la mejor, porque también da lugar a imperfecciones, es la de aplicar la pintura con esponja, dando golpecitos. Sin duda, voy a tener que recurrir a ayuda para realizar estas banderas con estrellas. Y eso es lo que eleva el nivel de dificultad de realizarlas.

Además, en esta ocasión no sé cómo pudo ocurrir... pero olvidé grabar vídeo. Así que todo esto que os lo podría haber explicado de palabra, no me ha quedado más remedio que redactarlo. No obstante, en un próximo vídeo os enseñaré la plantilla que uso y os hablaré un poco más del tema.

Hi everyone!

Now the sultry summer period is over it is time to open a new wave of flag facepainting, yeah!!! :D

Guinea-Bissau is the new flag I decided to do for my comeback as it is an easy flag to do (level 1) but with a little extra that makes it a bit more difficult to do.

That little extra is the black star in the Guinea-Bissau flag and don't think I drew it with my own hands... no. I used a stencil which I bought a few months ago and that will be really useful for future flags :)

The BIG problem of stencils is that I don't have enough hands to use the stencil. I need one to get hold of it and the other to apply the paint. Really difficult. What's more, stencils are excellent for airbrush facepainting but I don't have this kind of device and paintbrushes are terrible to use onto stencils... The best solution I found is to apply paint tapping it with a sponge. In spite of that, paint is not always perfectly applied... I will eventually need to ask for help to paint these kind of flags.

But there's still something worse... I took the photos of my flag facepainting but, forgot to record a video! Arggh!!! 
It never happened to me before and I still don't know how could it happen. I know I could have explained all about stencils for flag facepainting in the video... but all I could do is to type it here. Nevertheless, I will talk about stencils in a future video :)
